The Multiplied Foundation and the Museum of Science and Discovery (MODS) hosted today Hack-A-Thon 1.0 – an event designed to inspire future coders. Students from New Renaissance Middle School won ten iPad minis for their classroom.
The Multiplied Foundation and IMACS Provide Scholarships To Hi-Tech Summer Camp
The Multiplied Foundation partnered with the Institute For Mathematics & Computer Science (IMACS), to provide full scholarships to 20 students to enroll in one week sessions of IMACS’ 2016 Hi-Tech Summer Camp. Camp scholarships were awarded to rising 4th through 9th graders who have a desire to build their math and logical reasoning abilities but who would otherwise not have the resources to attend. Recipients were selected from Piney Grove in Lauderdale Lakes, Plantation Middle School, and Andover Middle School.
The Multiplied Foundation Seeded and Founded
Clint Eastwood, PGA Professional Jimmy Walker, and Peyton Robertson raised $200,000 for science and math charities at the 2015 Pebble Beach Pro Am Celebrity Challenge. $100,000 of the earnings were used by Peyton Robertson to seed the Multiplied Foundation and $100,000 of the earnings were separately distributed by the Monterey Peninsula Foundation to further math and science education in Monterey County and surrounding areas.
The Museum of Discovery & Science STEM Center:
The STEM Center Initiative of the Museum of Discovery & Science, the most visited Museum in Florida, seeks to raise the level of STEM education, instruction and career interest and to create a science literate community by increasing awareness of and engagement in STEM.
